Why she might be annoying
She said she identifies with giraffes because she considers herself gawky. ('I'm 5 feet 8. I was this tall when I was 13.')
She dated Peter Jennings.

Why she might not be annoying
She said, 'When I first got to New York out of college in 1963 and went job hunting, I was told point blank by every newspaper editor in New York City, 'We don't hire girls.' The extraordinary thing is that it never occurred to any of us that we should complain.'
She was ABC's principal space correspondent and noted, 'Covering space, for sheer physical excitement, is unbeatable.'
