Why she might be annoying:

    She joined a group of feminists in suing 'Stern' magazine for featuring nude women on its covers.
    Despite that lawsuit, she was an avowed nudist throughout her life.
    She came out as bisexual when she was 82.

Why she might not be annoying:

    Because her father was Jewish, she was banned from performing when the Nazis took power.
    She became one of Germany's most popular actresses, with over 100 movie and TV roles, earning the nickname 'Mother of the Nation.'
    She turned down the German Cross of Merit, saying 'I don't need an order of merit just for having lived decently.'
