Baseball Player

The Resume

    (April 12, 1972- )
    Born in Brooklyn, New York
    Bats right, throws right
Catcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers (1998-2004), Florida Marlins (2004-2005, 2008), New York Mets (2006-2007), and Washington Nationals (2008)
    Attended Arizona State University
The Sporting News Player of the Year (1993) for setting numerous school records.

Why he might be annoying:

In a 2006 Sports Illustrated article, he was named 'Captain Red Ass' by then-teammate Billy Wagner for his short fused temper.
The 'New York Post' leaked a story in which Lo Duca and his wife, Playboy model Sonia Flores, were going through a divorce.
As a result, Paul threatened to never give any more public interviews.
Despite his threat, he has since done interviews on the condition they pertain to baseball.
Despite his college success, he wasn’t drafted until the 25th round in 1993 by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
He and 89 others were found guilty of using steroids in the Mitchell Report (December 13, 2007).
He was traded to the New York Mets as part of a Marlins 'market correction' where most of their large salaries were traded away.
He made four All-Star teams as a reserve, but was the starting catcher only once.

Why he might not be annoying:

During his childhood, his mom would toss pinto beans to him in the back yard and he would use a broomstick to hit them.
    That benefited his hand/eye coordination.
He has a very low strikeout rate.
He is the only player to have caught all three Martínez brothers.
In 2003, his 25-game hitting streak ranked second longest in the Dodger's franchise history.
He was the leader in runs bated in for National League catchers (2004).
He has often been compared to other homegrown Dodgers Mike Scioscia and Mike Piazza because of his Italian ancestry and baseball skills.
At the start of each game, he writes the initials 'LL' in the dirt behind home plate, in memory of his mother Luci.
