    Third base coach for the New York Mets (1978), St. Louis Cardinals (1979-80) and the Atlanta Braves (1982-84)
    General manager for the St. Louis Cardinals (1984-94)
    Four-time World Series champion (1964, 1967, 1972 and 1974)

Why he might be annoying:

    He held the World Series record for the worst hitless streak with 22 at-bats without a base hit for 54 years until the 2022 World Series.
    He had 80 base hits in 399 at bats in the 1970 season, which is the NL record for the fewest hits in a 150 game span.
    He played on two separate short stints for the Athletics.
    He did not appear in the 1972 World Series in which the Athletics won in a 5 game series.
    He was fired as the Cardinals' GM three weeks after Mark Lamping became the team's president (September 1994).
