She divorced her husband, Richard Williams (1980-2002).
She changed her name back to Price, her maiden name.
She is named Oracene and named her daughters Serena and Venus.
She is a Jehovah Witness.
At the 2003 Australian Open, when Serena was booed, she believed it was racially motivated, saying: 'in a culture where you see that people have conquered other people who were indigenous to this country.' Some Australians claim the boos were induced by Serena taking an extended injury break.
Why she might not be annoying
Her daughters are the top female tennis players in the world.
She started OWL, The Oracene Williams Learning Foundation.
She wanted to be a social worker and enjoys working to help children.
Her daughters gleefully goofed on her from changing her hair-do in to a red retro-afro. She took it in good spirit.
She home schooled her children.
