Outlaw

The Resume

    (June 25, 1966-June 26, 2015)
    Born in Tonawanda, New York
    Resided in Tonawanda, New York
Convicted of second-degree murder, kidnapping and robbery
Made headlines when he escaped Clinton Correctional Facility with David Sweat (June 6, 2015)
Shot and killed after three weeks on the run near Malone, New York

Why he might be annoying:

He kidnapped, murdered and disemboweled his boss (December 3, 1997).
On February 20, 1998, he stabbed a man nine times, and robbed him of $300.
During their fugitive run, he was abandoned by Sweat as Sweat felt Matt was slowing him down.
He and Sweat intended to head to Canada during their escape.
His and Sweat's escape led to the suspension of at least one dozen prison officials and charges to Joyce Mitchell (who aided their escape by smuggling escape tools inside frozen meat).
At their escape point, he and Sweat left a note to their jailors saying 'Have a Nice Day,' with a drawing depicting an Asian smiley face.
A graphic picture of his body surrounded by the police moments after his being shot to death was publicly released.

Why he might not be annoying:

His and his prison break partner's names make up 'Sweat-Matt.'
He was a talented sketch and paint artist.
Subjects of his artwork included Barack Obama, the Clintons (Bill and Hillary), Oprah Winfrey, Angelina Jolie and Julia Roberts.
On his Oprah drawing, he wrote 'She changed so many lives. Thank you Oprah .'
His death was caused by three shots to the head fired by a customs and border protection official.
He died one day after turning 49.
