Commentator
    (April 18, 1988- )
    Born in Tampa, Florida
    Former CNN contributor
Columnist for The Hill, Bretibart News, PJ Media, and Above The Law
Made appearances on Fox News, the Christian Broadcasting Network, The View, and Hallmark Channel
Appointed national Spokesperson for the Republican National Committee (August 7, 2017)
Author of 'The New American Revolution: The Making of a Populist Movement' (2017)
Her last name is difficult to spell.
She guest hosted on an episode of The View during their co-host search in 2014, but was ultimately passed over for Nicolle Wallace.
She made her name as CNN's 'pro-Trump girl,' along with Jeffrey Lord almost reflexively defending his controversial statements.
She frequently tangled with fellow commentator Van Jones, with several of their heated exchanges going viral.
She also had an awkward confrontation with contributor Charles Blow, who accused her of invading his 'safe space' when she placed her hand on his arm while speaking to him.
She drew criticism after misstating that President Obama had 'rushed off to a golf game' after journalist Daniel Pearl was killed, confusing him with Mark Foley. She later acknowledged the error and apologized (March, 2017).
The announcement about her RNC appointment came only a day after she appeared in a bizarre pro-Trump news reel on the President's official Twitter page, which some said veered eerily close to 'propaganda' (August 6, 2017).
She is a fan of Toby Keith.
She worked as an intern in the Bush White House's Office of Media Affairs.
She graduated from Harvard Law School with a Juris Doctor and later from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service with a BSFS in International Politics.
She worked on her law degree while moonlighting as a TV commentator, getting a full-time job with CNN after graduating.
She idolized Ronald Reagan as a teenager, even carrying around a book of his quotations at school.
She carries a mutated BRCA2 gene and underwent a preventative double mastectomy as a result.
She was attacked as 'flat chested' by The Blaze's Dana Loesch after saying that Republicans refusing to support Donald Trump 'are not conservatives' (Loesch later apologized after learning about her double mastectomy).
She is blonde and as such is usually lumped in with the likes of Tomi Lahren, but she is a more formidable debater who is able to keep her cool when attacked personally (unlike Lahren who tends to fall apart when challenged).
She said: 'The most rewarding aspect of my job is receiving compliments from fellow CNN commentators, and also viewers, with differing opinions than my own ... That they respect the way I debate even if they might disagree with my conclusions.'
