As a City Councilman, he successfully lobbied for Cincinnati to ban pornography stores and strip clubs.

He has received dozens of commendations from various crime victims' groups.
He has been married to the same woman since 1976.
He enjoys attending Reds and Bengals games during Congressional breaks.
Much of his legislative work is dedicated to fiscal conservatism, assisting small business owners, and tort reform.
Political watchdog groups give him high marks for honesty, ethics, and responsibility.
