Dance Troupe
    (1989-1995)
    Formed in Brussels, Belgium
    Jo Bogaert (Producer)
    Ya Kid K (Vocalist)
    MC Eric (Rapper)
    Felly (Visualization)
Famous for the hits 'Pump Up The Jam,' 'Get Up,' and 'Move This'
They were a producer-driven dance act.
Jo Bogaert was an American-born philosophy teacher who moved to Belgium (of all places) to produce records.
Felly, a Zaire-born model famous for her blue lipstick, appeared in videos and album covers but didn't contribute to the writing or recording of their music. She was used to establish the group's image.
The members went by ridiculous nicknames.
The band's last big hit, 'Move This,' was used in a Revlon commercial.
Their 1995 comeback attempt, 'Recall,' failed on the charts.
It was hard to tell if Ya Kid K was a man or a woman.
Technotronic was a rare internationally successful musical act emerging from Belgium.
They opened for Madonna on her 'Blonde Ambition Tour' in 1990.
Their songs were upbeat, fun and energetic.
