    He dropped out of the Berklee College of Music after six months.
    He said he does not listen to contemporary music, sticking to Miles Davis and Indian music.

    Despite a long and varied career, he is remembered by the public solely for the 'Miami Vice' theme.
    He built his own studio in his upstate New York farmhouse.
    He won Keyboard Magazine's readers poll as best lead synthesizer player for seven straight years, after which he was inducted into the magazine's Keyboard Hall of Fame.
    He received a congratulatory phone call from Henry Mancini when the 'Miami Vice' soundtrack passed 'Music from Peter Gunn' as the most successful TV soundtrack on Billboard's album chart.
    He was commissioned by TV Nova, the first commercial TV network in Eastern Europe, to compose all their original music, including theme songs for 23 series, 50 station IDs, and the music for sports, news and weather programs (1996-2000).
