Why he might be annoying:

    He opposes gay marriage, stem cell research and a woman's right to choose.
    He started attacking his opponent, Inez Tenenbaum, months before the Republican primary was over.
    He said in a debate that gays and lesbians shouldn't be allowed to teach in schools, he later came out and said that single mothers shouldn't either.
    When asked about his comments on Meet the Press he said that he apologized for taking away from what was important in the debate, but refused to apologize for his comments.
    In his ads he attacks Ted Kennedy, Hilary Clinton, and Tom Daschle for being liberal, yet he fails to mention liberal Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger.
    He had one of the worst attendance records in the House of Representatives missing over half the votes.
    He told South Carolina workers to 'stop whining about job loss.'
    Republicans in South Carolina supported him just to keep control of the Senate.
    He supports a 23% national sales tax.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He stands by his beliefs.
    He promotes strong family values and is married with 4 kids.
    He is in the Adoption Hall of Fame.
    He is against the IRS and has been called a reformer.
    He has a masters degree in business from Clemson University.
