U.N. Secretary General

The Resume

    (June 13, 1944- )
    Born in Eumseong, Korea (South)
Foreign Minister of South Korea (2004-6)
Eighth Secretary General of the United Nations (2007- )

Why he might be annoying:

He became Secretary General mainly because he was the only candidate who did not draw a veto threat from the five permanent members of the Security Council.
South Korea was accused of offering foreign aid to developing countries in return for their support of Ki-Moon.
He claims to be proficient in English and French, the de facto languages of the UN, but noticeably struggled to answer questions from French journalists at press conferences.
At a UN Correspondents Dinner, he sang 'Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,' replacing 'Santa Claus' with his name (2006).
Human rights groups complained when he said that capital punishment is 'for each and every member state to decide.'
