Why he might be annoying:

    While he was playing in the junior leagues in the 1959-1960 season, he slipped and fell into a pile of debris which jeopardized his life.
    Despite spending his entire career with the Rangers, he never led them to a Stanley Cup victory.
    He had contract issues before his last career season.
    His hockey career came to an end after he injured his back again in a car accident.

    He established himself as a consistent scorer in the NHL following his surgery.
    He created the Power Arm Training Aid.
    He was a member of the Rangers' Goal-a-Game line which featured Vic Hadfield and Jean Ratelle.
    He holds the Rangers records for career points and career goals.
    He appeared in Andy Warhol's Athlete Series of paintings (1979).
    He was the Rangers' first player to have a retired number by the team.
