Musicians
    (1982-1993)
    Formed in London, England
One-hit wonder comprised of Timothy Brinkhurst (London) and twin sisters Jacqueline and Pauline Cuff
Recorded international dance hall hit 'HippyChick'
    Soho's original name was Groovalax.
It share names with a neighborhood in Manhattan.
Their only hit was of a woman telling her boyfriend how much he sucks and that she's leaving him.
Most of the songs on their 1990 album 'Goddess' were about free love and girl power.
Jacqui and Pauline quit their jobs as psychiatric nurses to join Soho.
    They toured with Jesus Jones.
After Timothy and Jacqui had a child in 1993, he disbanded the group and reformed it as Oosh.
The video for 'Hippychick' shocked viewers when the Anglo-sounding Jacqui and Pauline turned out to be bald black twins.
Many of their songs were about bringing down society's accepted images of beauty. They certainly practiced what they preached.
The twins have since ditched their Medusa-like braids and are now members of the London-based band Copenhagen.
