AmIAnnoying.com has announced the results of their fourth annual Most and Least Annoying poll, tallying over 10 million votes cast by 6.8 million unique visitors from throughout the world. Visitors had the opportunity to vote on over 13,000 different public figures, sharing their opinions on who they found annoying and not annoying. The addictive and interactive features on the site have continued to gain popularity, registering a staggering 650 million hits, over 10 million votes and over 6.8 million unique visitors in 2004, up from 2.3 million unique visitors in 2003.

As with previous years, the Most and Least Annoying people throughout 2004 reflected current events. News makers such as Paris Hilton (Ranked: 9th on the Most Annoying list) and Jason Giambi (Ranked: 71st Most Annoying) appeared frequently in the vote count. Every week, the top 15 rankings were recorded. These records were used to determine the final rankings at the end of the year.

The Most and Least Annoying lists were compiled using a unique point system that rewards longevity on the list as opposed to a single appearance. Based on rankings throughout the year, the Top 15 celebrities and groups were awarded from 1 to 4 points each week. "The points system allows a celebrity who spends 4 weeks at #11 to receive more points and rank higher than someone who spent 1 week at #1," says AmIAnnoying.com co-founder Bruce.

• Sarah Michelle Gellar is the only celebrity voted to the Least Annoying List four years in a row (2001: #4, 2002: #7, 2003: #78, 2004: #24).

 

• Osama bin Laden, Jesse Jackson, Rosie O'Donnell and Mike Tyson are the only people who placed on the Most Annoying List four years in a row.

 

• Salma Hayek, Queen of the Least Annoying List in 2003, did not even place on the list in 2004. What has she done this year anyway?

 

• Kobe Bryant (#12) is the most annoying athlete of 2004. Second and third place goes to Jayson Williams (#28) and Ron Artest (#33) respectively.

 

• For a second year in a row, Dr. Phil (#4) is more annoying than Oprah Winfrey, who didn’t place on the the list this year.

 

• Michael Jackson (#3) was ranked highest among alleged child abusers in the Most Annoying List for 2004. Others who made the list include Nambla (#20), John J Geoghan (#91) and John Wayne Gacy (#94).

 

• Rosie O’Donnell (#21) ranked highest on the Most Annoying List among comedians. Dave Chappelle ranked highest on the Least Annoying List (#7).

 

• William Hung (#11) convincingly places as the most annoying Reality Star this year. Other that followed includes Donald Trump (#15), Jack and Kelly Osbourne (#23 and #27), and Anna Nicole Smith (#30).

 

• Tyra Banks (#27) was voted Least Annoying in 2004 among fashion models. Paris Hilton (#9) was voted most annoying, if you consider her to be a model.

 

• 2004 was a good year for porn star Aurora Snow, who ranked #91 on the Least Annoying List. Paris Hilton (#9) was voted most annoying... once again, if you consider her a porn star.

 

• Osama bin Laden (#5) ranked highest among religious nuts on the Most Annoying List. This year, there were no known religious nuts on the Least Annoying List.

 

• In 2004, people preferred Dave Chappelle (#7) to Chris Rock (#14).

 

• According to votes, basketball player Ron Artest (#33) is more annoying than American Idol (#36).
