Football Coach

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He goes by his middle name instead of his birth name, Alvis.
His coaching career was considered a disappointment.
He was not the Shreveport Pirates first choice as head coach, as he got the job on a whim due to his friendship with the team's owner, Bernard Glieberman.
Glieberman hired him to be the general manager of the Ottawa Renegades, only to have his tenure cut short when the team folded.
He went 3-19 as a head coach at his alma mater, Southern Methodist.
He speaks with an extremely thick Southern accent.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was an integral part of a Packer dynasty in the 1950's and 1960's which won seven NFL titles, five of them in the Pre-Super Bowl era.
He was one of the first players in NFL history to play on six championship teams.
The late Vince Lombardi called him 'The finest player I ever coached.'
He guided the Bengals to the franchise's first Super Bowl appearance (1981).
Despite trying odds and a decimated roster due to a scandal, he was instrumental in the resurrection of the Southern Methodist University football program.
