Why he might be annoying:

    His surname is extremely hard to spell and pronounce.
    He was drafted twice, but refused to reach agreements with the clubs who selected him prior to his 1st overall selection.
    He had a reputation of being a difficult player to negotiate a contract, despite the fact he hadn't pitched in a Major League game.
    He spent a good portion of his career on poor Royals teams.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He is the son of former Denver Nuggets swingman Brian Hochevar.
    He, along with David Price, were the first University of Tennessee alumni to be drafted 1st overall in consecutive seasons.
    Despite going 6-12 in his rookie season, he posted the lowest run percentage in games he started (2008).
    He was the second recepient of the Roger Clemens Award, while attending the University of Tennessee.
