Authors
    (August 20, 1975- )
    Born in Portland, Oregon
    Identical twin poets
Michael wrote 'The End of the West' (2009)
Matthew wrote 'All-American Poem,' winner of the American Poetry Review/Honickman First Book Prize (2008)
They resemble the twisted twin gynecologists from David Cronenberg's 'Dead Ringers' (1988).
They have the same nickname for each other: Pig.
They vandalized their neighborhood with graffiti when teenagers.
Their publisher fears they’ll be seen as a 'circus act' rather than serious poets.
Michael enjoys shooting at trees with semi-automatics.
Matthew once necked with Allen Ginsberg (and said it was like 'kissing a mushy orange.')
When their mother learned she was carrying twins, she said she would only take one home.
They grew up in a gang and drug-plagued neighborhood.
They were (not surprisingly) much teased over their last name as children.
They had small roles as twin psychics in the Steven Spielberg film 'Minority Report' (2002).
They have very distinct writing styles: Michael is understated, Matthew more flamboyant.
Both pay their rent with unglamorous food-service jobs.
