Also wrote 'Principle-Centered Leadership' (1990), 'First Things First' (1994), 'Living the Seven Habits' (2000), 'The 8th Habit: From Effectiveness to Greatness' (2004), 'The Leader in Me: How Schools and Parents Around the World Are Inspiring Greatness, One Child At a Time' (2008) and 'The 3rd Alternative: Solving Life's Most Difficult Problems' (2011)
Died of complications from a bicycling accident

Why he might be annoying:

One review of 'Seven Habits' noted, 'Readers with a low tolerance for jargon won't want to venture too far into this thicket.'
Critics suggested that the 'Seven Habits' message that individual workers were responsible for their own destinies became so popular with corporate America because it gave employees the message that if you got fired, the fault lay within you.
Other critics claimed that 'Seven Habits' promoted Mormon doctrine under a secular guise.
He gave the keynote address at a fundraiser for a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage in Hawaii (1997).

As a teen, he spent three years on crutches with steel pins in his legs because of a degenerative bone disease.
He was married to Sandra Covey for 55 years until his death.
'Seven Habits' sold over 25 million copies.
His clients included three quarters of the Fortune 500 companies.
He was named one of 'Time's 25 most influential Americans (1996).
