Killed a French paratrooper outside a gym (March 11)
Killed two uniformed soldiers at a shopping center (March 15)
Killed a rabbi and three children at a Jewish day school (March 19)
Injured three policemen during a 30-hour seige (March 21-22)
Why he might be annoying
He had racked up at least 15 arrests as a juvenile delinquent.
He was a self-proclaimed jihadist and claimed to be a member of al-Qaeda.
Ironically, his first victim was a fellow French Muslim.
During the school shooting, he chased a seven-year-old girl into the courtyard, grabbed her by the hair and shot her at point-blank range.
He called a television station, claiming he had filmed the murders and that he planned to post the footage online.
He announced plans to surrender to police, then reneged.
He said his only regret was that he had not been able to kill more people.
Why he might not be annoying
Two friends said he was 'a nice guy' who 'got along well with everyone.'
He was careful enough to avoid leaving fingerprints or DNA on the magazine and shell casings he left behind.
The seige ended when he jumped out a window with a gun, still firing, at which point a police commando killed him with a single shot to the head.
