His acquisition by the Cavs was partially for nostalgic reasons, as his father was a cornerstone for the team in the late 1980's and early 1990's.
The team went as far as issuing him his dad's old number, despite the fact it was retired.
He admitted he contemplated moving back home upon being traded to the Cavs.
He has a fear of the open ocean.
He bounced in and out of the Cavs lineup during their run to the NBA Finals (2018).

He attended the University of Wyoming, where he fulfilled his college scholarship to its entirety.
He played alongside NBA legends Kobe Bryant and LeBron James earlier in his career.
He embraced the opportunity to play for his hometown Cavaliers.
He served as the face of the Cavaliers rebuild in the second post-LeBron era.
He suffers from Chron's disease and has volunteered his time to various charities that are centered around research for it.
