TV Series
    (September 9, 1966-April 7, 1967)
Premise:: Two scientists traveling out of control from one time period to another
Starred; James Darren as Dr Tony Warren, Robert Colbert as Dr Doug Phillips, Whit Bissell as General Heywood Kirk, John Zaremba as Dr Raymond Swain, and Lee Meriwether as Dr Ann MacGregor
    Produced by Irwin Allen
The science behind the show's concept was nonsense.
No matter where or when the scientists traveled to everybody spoke contemporary English.
They almost always landed in the middle of a major historical event.
The show used sets and costumes from other Irwin Allen shows.
To portray historical events the show used footage from the movies i.e., the sinking of the Titanic was shown using footage from 'A Night to Remember.'
The regular cast was all white and racial/ethnic minorities were rarely shown in leadership positions.
Some of the episodes set in the future were set in the 70's and 80's.
It never won or was nominated for a major award.
It got very good ratings, making its cancellation just before the start of its second season inexplicable.
It is believed that Lee Meriwether's character was the first female scientist to be a regular on an American network TV show.
It's merchandise; lunch boxes, comic books, novels, etc. did well and continues to sell.
It was well produced for such a low budget show.
