Why NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) might be annoying:

They have dangerous occupations.
Their projects are very expensive.
Three of the Apollo 1 astronauts were killed in a fire during spacecraft testing (1967).
The Apollo 13 lunar mission was a failure (1970).
Two space shuttle crews were killed during a mission, the Challenger crew in 1986 and the Columbia crew in 2003.
Lisa Nowak, the woman who was arrested for attempted kidnapping, was an astronaut for them.
It phased out its space shuttle fleet in 2011 (at the cost of many jobs), with the last shuttle, the Atlantis, landing on July 21, 2011.

Why NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) might not be annoying:

They were responsible for placing the first two humans on the moon (July 20, 1969).
The Kennedy Space Center, the Johnson Space Center and the U.S. Space and Rocket Center can be visited as tourist attractions.
Many Air Force pilots join there to become astronauts.
A movie based on the Apollo 13 mission won two Oscars.
They had their first Independence Day liftoff by launching Space Shuttle Discovery (July 4, 2006).
They partnered with several foreign space agencies to build the International Space Station.
They wanted to put a human on Mars.
