TV Series
    (November 7, 1975-September 11, 1979)
Aired on ABC (1975-77) and CBS (1977-79)
Lynda Carter as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman
    Lyle Waggoner as Steve Trevor
Premise: An Amazon princess comes to America and fights evil-doers
For season two, the setting jumped from WWII to contemporary times, which was not a problem for Lynda Carter (since Wonder Woman does not age), but required Lyle Waggoner to be cast as Steve Trevor, Jr., the son of his original character.
A script involving toxic makeup was never filmed since Carter was a spokesperson for Maybelline.
Near the end of season two, a tiny robot named Rover was added for comic relief.
It recycled sound effects from Star Trek, visual effects from 'Space: 1999' and even the 'beep beep' from Roadrunner cartoons for Rover.
Guest stars included Leif Garrett and Shields and Yarnell.
Every episode featured Lynda Carter in an outfit resembling a bathing suit. What's not to love?
The show's twirling transformation of Diana Prince into Wonder Woman was incorporated into the comic books.
Debra Winger had one of her first roles as Wonder Girl.
Lynda Carter won the TVLand Award for 'Superest Super Hero' (2004).
