    (1973- )
Recorded film soundtracks for the horror films 'Profundo Rosso/Deep Red' (1975), 'Suspiria' (1977), 'Dawn of the Dead' (1978), and 'Tenebrae/Unsane' (1982)
    Core band members:
    Claudio Simonetti (keyboards & synthesizers)
    Fabio Pignatelli (bass guitar)
    Agostino Marangolo (drums & percussion)
    Massimo Morante (guitars)
Italian Progressive Rock Band/Horror-Movie Soundtrack Composers
They started their recording career under the name Cherry Five.
In some of the films with their soundtracks, they got miscredited as 'The Goblins.'
Like a number of other prog-rock groups of the time, they had multiple lineup changes and departures.
They recorded only one non-soundtrack album, 'Roller' (1976).
Some of their soundtrack songs may be considered too upbeat for the horror films they were recorded for (a good example of this being 'La Caccia/The Hunt,' which was the action theme for 'Dawn of the Dead').
Their musical influences included Genesis and Yes.
The band was first discovered by Yes' producer Eddie Offord.
They collaborated with film director Dario Argento for many of their soundtracks.
Despite being commercially obscure even for a prog-rock band, they've amassed a cult following from fans of both prog-rock and horror movies over the years.
