TV Series
    (June 27, 1983-November 10, 1995)
    TV Soap Opera
    First broadcast on ABC
Set in fictional town of Corinth
    Created by Agnes Nixon
The story of two clans living in Corinth: The blue-collar Donovans and the blue-blood Aldens
Many consider it as a white elephant or a black sheep in daytime soaps.
Creator and writer Agnes Nixon abandoned all involvement with the show.
Since then up to its final episode, there has been a constant change of writers and directors leading up to some absurd and cheesy storylines such as one getting killed by cough syrup.
As a shameless, yet controversial way to end the series, a story arc involved a 'Corinth serial killer' murdering eight veteran characters leaving primarily young cast members to survive!
It never achieved high ratings like other soaps.
It began as a 2 hour made-for-TV movie featuring Lloyd Bridges and future Oscar winner Geraldine Page.
In its early days, it featured characters struggling to live life after the trauma of the Vietnam War.
Singer Jeffrey Osbourne sang the theme song from 1992-1995.
It only aired episodes that lasted thirty minutes.
Johnny Mathis sang the theme song (1989-1992).
