Why he might be annoying
He was originally a professional rodeo rider before he injured his arm.
He was initially rejected by the SEALs because of the pins in his arm.
He said that he did not think of the people he killed as human beings.
He said, 'I used a ballistic computer that tells me everything to do. So, I was just a monkey with a gun.'
With other SEALs, he founded Craft International, a security company with the motto, 'Despite what your momma told you, Violence does solve problems.'
Why he might not be annoying
In Iraq, he survived being shot twice and being involved in six IED (improvised explosive device) attacks.
He earned two Purple Hearts, two Silver Stars and five Bronze Stars.
The Iraqi insurgents placed a $20,000 bounty on his head, which eventually grew to $80,000.
He said, 'People tell me I saved hundreds and hundreds of people. But I have to tell you, it's not the people you save that you remember. It's the ones you couldn't save.'
He worked with FITCO Cares, a non-profit foundation providing free in-home fitness equipment for injured veterans.
He reportedly had been helping the man who killed him deal with post-traumatic stress disorder.
