Why he might be annoying:

    He said about his role with the Osmonds, ‘I was the little guy who’d run on and be goofy.’
    He was a one-hit wonder in the US.
    After overindulging in grilled cheese sandwiches from room service before a show, he vomited into the front row of the audience (1974).
    He became a staple of celebrity editions of British reality shows, including ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here,’ ‘Come Dine with Me,’ ‘Everybody Dance Now,’ ‘Celebrity Masterchef’ and ‘Popstar to Operastar.’

Why he might not be annoying:

    At age nine, he was the youngest performer to hit #1 on the British singles chart.
    He noted, ‘I make more money on record sales today than I ever made in the heyday of the Osmonds because I own my own label.’
    He suffered a stroke due to a previously undetected birth defect, a hole in his heart connecting the left and right atria (2004).
    He suffered another stroke onstage while portraying Captain Hook in a pantomime of Peter Pan, but continued his performance until the final curtain (December 27, 2018).
