Why he might be annoying:

Prior to directing 'Harry Potter' he had not read the books or seen the movies.
He admits to having a very foul mouth.
He compared George W. Bush to Saddam Hussein by saying: 'They both have selfish interests and are very much in love with power. Also, a disregard for the environment. A love for manipulating people.'
There is a twenty year age gap between his son and daughter.
J.K. Rowling hated his idea of putting tiny people in 'Prisoner of Azkaban,' so he had to scrap it.

Why he might not be annoying:

He studied film making and philosophy at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
His first feature film was a success in Mexico and was well-received around the world.
He is a versatile director and storyteller who works both big studio and independent productions.
He said he doesn't like to be precious around children because it's patronizing and children hate to be patronized.
He is against government movie ratings groups, believing that parents are the only ones qualified for deciding what films are suitable for their children.
