    (November 10, 1940-June 16, 1999)
Birth name was David Edward Sutch
Recorded the albums 'Lord Sutch and Heavy Friends' (1970), 'Hands of Jack the Ripper' (1972), 'Alive and Well' (1982), and 'Murder in the Graveyard' (1992)

    Committed suicide by hanging
He stole his name and much of his act from Screamin' Jay Hawkins.
'Lord Sutch and Heavy Friends' was named the worst album of all time in a BBC poll (1998).
He ran for office 40 times without ever getting close to elected.
    He suffered from clinical depression.
He committed suicide by hanging himself.
Despite not having a hit single, his live shows were popular enough for him to earn 1,000 pounds a week.
Although the OMRLP is known for satirical campaigns, several of its proposals became law, including lowering the voting age to 18 and all-day pub openings.
In the campaign for MP from Bootle, Sutch received more votes than the Social Democratic candidate, prompting the Social Democrats to formally disband (1990).
