Why they might be annoying:

They are a one-hit wonder.
They were instantly forgotten after their one hit single ran it's course.
Their image was pure late-80's, with lots of gold jewelry, big hair, big sunglasses, and brightly colored spandex.
They have been called a 'female version of Kriss Kross.'
Their attempt at a follow-up album, 'Not Just a Fad,' flopped, and the group disbanded shortly after.

Why they might not be annoying:

With their hit 'Supersonic, they became the first female rap group to be nominated for a Grammy.
They were considered a welcome change from the then-emerging 'gangsta rap' genre, and artists like N.W.A..
Their album 'Supersonic' went platinum, and was produced by N.W.A.'s Dr. Dre, Yella and The Arabian Prince.
Their sound was influential on electro/chintz-rap revivalists Fannypack.
