Religious Figure
    (May 16, 1908-October 2, 1982)
    Born in Mangalore, India
    Birth name was Krishna
    Founder of Siddha Yoga
Came under the tutelage of Bhagavan Nityananda (August 15, 1947-1955)
Wrote ‘The Play of Consciousness’ (1970)
He molested his female devotees, mostly teenage girls, in the guise of 'checking' their virginity.
Ironically, his teachings depicted sex in negative light.
He was also accused of harassing ex-members who witnessed his abuses, exploiting his devotees for money, and condoning violence and firearms in his ashrams (Hindu religious centers).
He had an extremely bad temper, yelling and screaming for no reason and beating anyone who dared to steal coconuts from his ashram in India.
He even used henchmen to beat followers to ‘keep them in line’.
His followers were forbidden from having any social contact whatsoever.
He lived a pious life as a monk in India, wandering all over the country on foot.
    He was a charismatic man.
He named his ashram in India after his master, who correctly prophesied that the ashram would be big and beautiful and attract pilgrims from all over the world.
Even after he was ratted out as an abusive, sex-crazy tyrant, some of his followers still thought highly of him.
