Why Luckenbach, Texas might be annoying:

Its original name was Grape Creek.
Some local residents claimed that a resident, Jacob Brodbeck built the prototype for the first aircraft, but had no proof to back it up.
Most people only know of it because of the Waylon Jennings song of the same name.
As the town's population dwindled, it was purchased by a consortium led by actor Guich Koock.
Guich used the town's status to govern the dance hall to his liking.

Why Luckenbach, Texas might not be annoying:

The song made the town famous, despite the fact neither Waylon or the song's writers never physically stepped foot there.
It still maintains a Western-style ghost town atmosphere.
It is home to some unique festivals as a way to bring tourism to the town.
The former general store building was repurposed as a souvenir shop that specializes in humorous slogans.
It hosted the 'Pickin' For The Record' music festival, which set a new Guiness World Record for most guitar players gathered to play for five minutes simultaneously (August 23, 2009).
