    (1955- )
    Born in Monroeville, Alabama
Journalist, syndicated columnist and former editorial page director for the Atlanta Journal Constitution
    Native of Monroeville, Alabama
BA in Journalism for Auburn University
Winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Commentary
She has bragged about getting her first job as a reporter with the Atlanta Journal Constitution because of affirmative action and not because of her qualifications.
She expresses disdain for the democratic process when it interferes with policies she supports.
Her positions on major issues are drearily predictable.
    She has her own blog.
Her columns are almost always pure opinion with little quantitative information in them versus an Ann Coulter.
She has certainly kept her looks.
She loves living in her native South and likes writing about it, especially how her love of it shocks her liberal friends.
In the finest traditions of Southern womanhood, she has been called 'gracious' and 'elegant,' especially in interviews.
She has a very stringent personal system of journalistic ethics, including not socializing with people she has or may write about.
She doesn't hesitate to criticize black leadership when it is called for, most notably when the NAACP published a resolution condemning the Tea Party for alleged racism.
