    She married John Marion Fox at sixteen.

    Her third husband, Walter Wanger, shot and wounded Jennings Lang, her agent, claiming he was trying to 'Steal her' from him.
    She came from an acting family.
    She saved her career by dying her hair from blonde to brunette.
    Her brunette hair color gave her a mysterious look.
    She sang songs with her own voice and was never dubbed.
    She said 'Meryl Streep can act Polish or English or Australian but she sure as hell can't act blonde.'
    She made the most films with film tyrant, Fritz Lang (5 films) She was nominated for a 1968 Emmy for 'Outstanding Achievement in a Daytime Programming,' for her role in 'Dark Shadows.'
    She has a Star on the Walk of Fame (1960).
    She died of a heart attack.
