Why Babylon 5 might be annoying:

There was a stirring controversy that its premise was very similar to that of 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.'
Claudia Christian was fired from the show because of contract issues.
It spun off the short-lived series 'Crusade' that lasted for 13 episodes.
Susan Ivanova's name constantly got mispronounced as e-VAH-no-vuh (Ivanova is really pronounced e-vuh-NO-va).
The idea of the design of the Volron ships came from a clove of garlic.
    J. Michael Straczynski's plan of getting 'X-Files' stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson to portray Psi Cops in an episode fizzled.
    J. Michael Straczynski wrote an episode that featured a teddy bear getting tossed into space because of his dislike on cute things.

Why Babylon 5 might not be annoying:

    J. Michael Straczynski wrote most of the show's episodes.
It has been called a 'novel for television.'
Walter Koenig's recurring character Alfred Bester, was named after a science fiction author.
It won one Emmy Award and two Hugo Awards.
TV Guide placed the show at #13 on the list of the '25 Top Cult Shows Ever!' (May 30, 2004).
TV Guide also placed Captain John Sheridan at #9 on the list of the '25 Greatest Sci-Fi Legends' (August 1, 2004).
Officials from NASA said to J. Michael Straczynski as they borrowed some things from the show for the International Space Station: 'Your design is the most practical we've seen.'
    J. Michael Straczynski appeared in the final episode as a technician to wrap up the show.
