Why they might be annoying:

They are considered by many people to be Howard Stern ripoffs.
They were fired in Boston after they pulled an April Fool's prank, telling their listeners the Mayor of Boston died in a car accident (1998).
They were hosts of a short-lived XFL pregame show.
They laugh too much at their own jokes.
They do not come up with many of their own ideas for radio bits and contests.
They are obsessed with insulting their old station in Boston, WAAF-FM.
Their show has become stale ever since they started being syndicated.
They love to reuse certain words and sound effects repeatedly.
Anthony never attended college.
Opie has a very short fuse.
Anthony has been divorced.
Several members of their crew were arrested for being on the see-through Voyeur Bus where six young women were flashing all over Manhattan (2000).
They took over the number one rated time slot held by Don and Mike in Washington, D.C., and within a few months, they were in seventeenth place.
They were fired (August 22, 2002) for airing a sexual olympics bit from St. Patricks Cathedral (August 15, 2002). Many Catholic groups were upset that they motivated and broadcast a couple having sex in the Cathedral.
They originally charged a $1.99 per month premium to hear their program on XM Radio.

Why they might not be annoying:

They acknowledge the fact that Howard Stern has been a major influence in their careers.
They became a popular show in New York without any promotion.
They are on a station that has low ratings outside of their show.
They became so popular that within three years of their New York debut, they were signed to a very lucrative syndication deal (2001).
They quickly became popular in cities such as Philadelphia, Cleveland, and Buffalo just after they started sydication.
Howard Stern put down an order that forbade them to talk about him on their radio program, even though they are not in direct competition with Stern, and they work for the same company (2000).
They created 'Whip'em Out Wednesdays' (WOW), where they encourage women to flash at motorists who have a WOW bumper sticker.
Eventually, WOW applied to any day of the week.
Regular guests to their show include Jay Mohr, Jim Breuer, and Lewis Black.
Anthony does great impressions of people such as Andrew Dice Clay, Tom Brokaw, and Mike Tyson.
They are big South Park fans.
Anthony is a huge New York Yankees fan.
