He was in all seven of the, 'Police Academy,' movies.
He was typecast as the psychotic, war-monger Officer Eugene Tackleberry.
His acting outside of 'Police Academy,' series was mainly guest roles on sit-com's.
His death went largely unnoticed.

Why he might not be annoying:

He suffered a sudden major heart attack at a family wedding, and died nine days shy of his fifty-first birthday.
His father and grandfather also died of sudden heart attacks at the age of fifty-one.
His credits for guest appearances on television is quite distinguished, including, 'The Dukes of Hazzard,' 'M*A*S*H,' 'Night Court, ' 'Seinfeld, ' 'Home Improvement,' 'Sports Night,' 'Touched by an Angel,' 'JAG,' and 'The West Wing.'
He remained married to his wife Kathryn for sixteen years, from 1985, until his death.
He won $10,000 on 'The $10,000 Pyramid,' with Patty Duke as his celebrity team member.
He then, years later, went on the updated version of the show, 'The $100,000 Pyramid,' and was Patty Duke's celebrity opponent.
