The Resume

    (1712- )
    Born in Alabama
    Port city on Alabama coast
Well known for its busy port, beauty, and friendliness of its people

Why Mobile, Alabama might be annoying:

It was the site of the largest naval battle of the War Between the States, the famous Battle of Mobile Bay.
The area has several pockets of brutal poverty and crime, including the nearby town of Prichard whose entire police force and city council were once arrested.
The heat and humidity makes summers there absolutely miserable.

Why Mobile, Alabama might not be annoying:

It is one of the most beautiful cities in the South. Among other things worth experiencing are; the crepe myrtle trees blooming in the summer, a series of 200 hundred year old oak trees scattered through the city, outstanding seafood restaurants and beautiful beaches.
It was hit by the two of the most devastating hurricanes in US history; Camille and Katrina.
There is minimal pollution and it is actually relatively clean for a city its size.
The local fishing, both in the bay and in the gulf, is excellent!
Mardi Gras actually began there and not in New Orleans as usually believed.
