    (January 8, 1926-July 5, 2007)
    Born in Seattle, Washington
American actor most well known for his roles in fantasy/adventure and action movies
Movies included; 'The 7th Voyage of Sinbad' (1958), 'Man on a String' (1960), 'The Devil at 4 O'Clock' (1961), 'The Three Worlds of Gulliver' (1960), and 'Jack the Giant Killer' (1962)
TV roles included appearing on; Space Patrol, The Ford Television Theatre, Matinee Theatre, General Hospital, and Ironside
He never evolved beyond B-list status and was mostly known as a good-looking guy who handled a sword well in monster movies.
Never a big star, his career was essentially over by the early seventies and he officially retired in 1977 barely fifty years old.
He appeared in several awful movies including; 'The Warrior Empress' (1960), 'The Boy Who Cried Werewolf' (1973), and his final movie, 'Nightmare in Blood.'
He remained closeted even decades after he retired from the movie business and never publicly acknowledged his homosexuality or his partner of forty-five years.
He never won or was ever even nominated for a major acting award.
He served honorably in the Army Air Corps during WWII which undoubtedly helped him in his excellent performances in the WWII movies, 'Tarawa Beachhead' (1958) and 'The Last Blitzkrieg' (1959).
He was an absolute wonder as Johann Strauss Jr. in the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color's TV movie, 'The Waltz King.'
After retiring from acting, he became a successful furniture and antique dealer.
He taught school before becoming an actor.
He was sensational in the action roles he specialized in and was letter perfect for the Ray Harryhausen special effects vehicle, 'The 7th Voyage of Sinbad.'
