The Resume

Why Our Cartoon President might be annoying:

It shamelessly panders to the Resistance crowd for laughs.
It is an inferior knockoff of Comedy Central's Lil' Bush.
It predicates its humor on the perception of what's going on in the White House rather than the reality.
It debuted to mixed-to-lackluster reviews from critics (many of whom don't support 45).
Some of its jokes are very predictable (Trump flipping through the news channels decrying them as 'Fake News' before settling on Fox News).
Jeff Sessions and John F. Kelly vanished from the show between seasons, having been fired from the administration in the interim period (so basically a real-life mirror example of Chuck Cunningham Syndrome!)

Why Our Cartoon President might not be annoying:

It often finds clever ways to explore the interpersonal relations within the Trump orbit.
Its a spin-off of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, which had been airing animated shorts about Trump for two years to that point.
The animation is of good quality (although President Trump looks a little too much like the Family Guy version).
It is the first lead role for famed voice actor Jeff Begman in an adult cartoon, who has traditionally stuck to children's fare (e.g. the Looney Tunes).
It was featured in a special three-minute video during the 2018 White House Correspondents Dinner.
It figured the main 2020 Democrat Presidential field contenders in as actual characters on the show.
