Why he might be annoying:

He gave himself the nickname 'The Man.'
He is extremely arrogant and often claims to be 'number 1' at everything he does.
He is a show-pony.
He has several tattoos.
Towards the end of his rugby league career, he claimed that not being selected over rugby legend, Brad Fittler, to represent Australia was a racist decision.
During a live interview, he was asked about his Muslim heritage and the September 11 terrorist attacks, to which he replied: 'America brought the September 11 attacks on themselves.' The interview was then cut short and blamed on technical difficulties.
He managed to turn most of his nation against him.
He usually only agrees to fight low quality boxers with low rankings and the few times he has fought quality boxers, he has lost.
He refuses to fight Danny Green, the man considered Australia's prime middleweight boxer and his equal.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is an undeniably talented athlete.
On the night of his first professional fight, his house was burglarized.
He made it to the top of his division in boxing, albeit for a very short time.
Although the vast majority of spectators attend his matches to see him lose, he has sparked a huge interest in Australian boxing.
He publicly degraded himself for a few weeks on 'Celebrity Big Brother' to raise money for charity.
Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman are good friends of his.
