Why he might be annoying:

On television he often comes across as vain and self absorbed.He is technically not a film critic yet stars as co-host on one of the most influential film shows in America.
His knowledge of the Cinema is vastly inferior to that of his co-host Roger Ebert.
He preferred the remake of 'Planet of the Apes' to the original.
He dislikes Anime.
He has a thing for Marisa Tomei.
He bears an uncanny resemblance to Clark Kent.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was personally chosen by Roger Ebert out of many candidates to join him as co-host.
He will forever live in the shadow of the late Gene Siskel.
He is not afraid to speak his mind.
He claims to be an expert of pop culture.
Despite his shortcomings as a film critic, his writing is often insightful and witty.
