Basketball Coach

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He was a journeyman player, as he played on seven different teams during his playing career.
He played on three different teams during the 2004 and 2008 calendar years.
He got his start as a head coach under one of the most dysfunctional owners in professional sports.
Some basketball pundits felt he should not have served as the Eastern Conference head coach at the 2016 NBA All-Star Game, due to the fact David Blatt was fired a week prior to the game,
Some of Blatt's supporters felt he only got the head coaching position by undermining the latter on decisions and plays specified to LeBron's liking.
He wasn't LeBron's first choice as Blatt's replacement, but was seen as being the middleman between the two camps after Gilbert opted not to hire Mark Jackson.

Why he might not be annoying:

He earned two NBA championship rings as a member of the Lakers.
He was best remembered for being stepped on by Allen Iverson during the 2001 NBA Finals.
Since he sported dreadlocks and was of a small stature, Phil Jackson had him dress like Iverson in practice in order to give his players a feel on how to guard the latter during a game.
He guided the Cavs to a 27-14 record upon taking over the team at mid-season.
He guided the Cavaliers to the franchise's first ever NBA Championship, defeating the heavily favoured Golden State Warriors in seven games (2016).
