The Resume

    (December 30, 1962- )
    Born in Knoxville, Tennessee
Acted in 'Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation,' 'Bandit: Beauty and the Bandit,' 'McHale's Navy,' 'Say It Isn't So,' and 'Material Girls'
Host of the Friday Night Lights-revamp, 'Friday Night' (1994-1996)
Trademark is his Tennessee 'redneck' accent
Hosted 'The Henry Cho Show' (2011)

Why he might be annoying:

    His nickname is 'Mr. Clean.'
He guest-starred on an episode of Designing Women.
His humor is predicated on the notion of racial flash judgments (expecting him to speak broken English with a Korean accent, when he's really a bubba).
For instance, his Facebook page reads, 'I'm an Asian with a Southern accent. To a lot of people, that right there is funny.'
He signed a deal with Craig Ferguson for a sitcom pilot which was never produced.
He is frequently mistaken for being a relative of Margaret Cho, but he's of no relation.
Further complicating the confusion was that Margaret Cho frequently claimed to be a relative of his early in her career to boost her profile.
He is also confused with legendary Tae Kwon Do instructor, Sihak Henry Cho, who also admitted to playing up the confusion to get more traffic for his website (hard to call a 7th Degree Black Belt on those types of things).

Why he might not be annoying:

He took his experience with racism in the South and turned it on its head by turning it into an empowering comedy act.
He is a devout Christian who is very open about his faith.
His act is wholesome and clean, avoiding inappropriate sexual references and excessive profanity.
He had the potential to be a major television star, but he chose to focus on his family instead.
He frequently turns down offers to do films and television shows because he doesn't want to disrupt his family's living situation.
He performed at the 2003 White House Correspondents Dinner.
He performed with Bob Hope on his 'Young Comedians Special.'
He is friends and colleagues with Jerry Seinfeld, Tim Allen, Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, and Bill Engvall.
His name and following boosted the web traffic of S. Henry Cho's site, but they refused to let any icon appear on the site to compensate him.
He said 'Nowadays, way too many books I read are actually screenplays in paperback. It's really sad. I can tell when the writer gave up on the novel and sold out to make it a movie... sad.'
