The Resume

    (August 13, 1938- )
    Born in Detroit, Michigan
Birth name is David Cortez Clowney
Recorded 'The Happy Organ' and 'Rinky Dink'

Why he might be annoying:

    He is a two-hit wonder.
What kind of a nickname is Baby for a fully grown adult?
All his songs are instrumentals, so he probably has a lousy singing voice.
'Rinky Dink' blatantly rips off a guitar riff from Mickey & Sylvia's 1959 hit 'Love is Strange.'
He recorded an album in 2011, his first recording in 39 years!

Why he might not be annoying:

His father was a pianist and encouraged him to pursue a musical career.
He sang in two '50s doo-wop groups, the Pearls and the Valentines, until he realized he'd have better luck as an organist.
'The Happy Organ,' released in 1959, was the first pop/rock hit to feature the electronic organ as lead instrument.
He was the first black artist to have an instrumental reach #1 on Billboard's Singles chart.
'Rinky Dink' was used by the Saturday afternoon UK TV program 'Professional Wrestling' (with Kent Walton) as its signature tune.
A record producer tracked him down through his son, New York Jets wide receiver David Clowney IV, and convinced him to record again for the first time since 1972.
