Why she might be annoying:

    She is a one-hit wonder.
    Her photos are obviously airbrushed.
    Her videos are in soft focus and she appears to use a wig.
    She seems a little too attached to the gay community.
    Her first album ‘Secrets’ received mediocre reviews.
    Although she won the title of ‘Most Promising Newcomer,’ her subsequent albums have been anything but promising.

Why she might not be annoying:

    Her version of ‘Total Eclipse’ was just as big a hit, if not more, than Bonnie Tyler’s version.
    In 1995, she was nominated for, and won, Dance Music Authority Magazine’s awards for Best Female Vocalist, Single of the Year, and Most Promising Newcomer.
    Her album ‘Secrets’ sold over 50,000 in its first week of release.
    Jim Steinman, who wrote ‘Total Eclipse,’ was so impressed with her version that he wanted to work with her.
    She has a reputation for being a kind vocalist who doesn’t step on people’s feet.
    She credits her success to never turning down a job.
    The video for ‘Total Eclipse’ featured the silhouette of a nude woman dancing.
    She is a gay icon.
