    (circa 1938- )
    Born in United Kingdom
    Resided in Taunton, England
Gold cup that he owned since childhood was vauled at nearly one million U.S. dollars (2007)
Placed cup for auction in Dorchester, England (June 5, 2008)
He used the Steptoe and Son TV series to describe his scrap metal dealer grandfather, who gave him the cup in 1945.
His grandfather never revealed where the cup came from, and Webber assumed that it was made from brass.
Given to him as a toy, he used the cup for target practice with his air gun.
He kept the cup for over 50 years before deciding to have it valued.
After the cup was examined, some experts questioned the actual age and value of the relic.
Although believed to be valued at 500,000 British pounds ($988,000), the cup sold for only 50,000 pounds ($100,000) at Duke's auction house.
He stated that his grandfather had much experience with antiques and had a diverse antique collection.
He learned that his cup was actually an ancient gold relic from Persia (now Iran), dated from the third or fourth century before Christ.
The relic from his grandfather gave Webber benefits that his grandfather could not receive.
He aquired ancient artifacts from the Roman Empire and Greece to sell at the auction along with the relic.
He and his family were pleased with the price he received for the relic.
