    She was chosen in part because she is considered physically flawless.
    Many believe her appointment amounts to child abuse.
    A kumari can only be chosen from the goldsmith or 'Shakya' caste.
    She is waited on hand and foot and can order around her playmates.
    She may have a hard time going back to life as an ordinary child.
    She is required to attend school.
    She must live apart from her family in an ancient temple in the capital Katmandu.
    She passed a test that required her to spend a night alone in a room full of sacrificed animals.
    Her feet are considered sacred.
    She will receive a generous pension when she retires from being a goddess.
    Her appointment brought great honor to her family.
