    (circa 1950-October 3, 1977)
    Born in McAllen, Texas
    Student teacher
Died as a result of a botched abortion obtained in Mexico
She bore a child out of wedlock.
She underwent 2 prior abortions to the fateful procedure which took her life.
She remained in an unstable and allegedly abusive relationship with a man who kept impregnating her.
She died just six months before completing her teaching certification.
A $700 scholarship she received would have covered the cost of an abortion if cashed in, but she chose to further her education.
Due to the Hyde Amendment, Medicaid would not fund a third abortion.
The Amendment was sponsored by Henry Hyde, a hypocritical politician who felt it okay for him to stray from his marriage but not okay for a woman to make her own reproductive choices.
Her tragic death became the catalyst for the writer of this profile to come out of AmIAnnoying retirement.
